2023 – Planetarium Tour

The scholars of Pragati along with their mentors had been to Jawaharlal Nehru planetarium which is located in Bangalore on 8th October, it was delightful for everyone to have visited planetarium on the day of “world space”.

Pragati has been always supporting its scholars in all the means. Likewise, they had given a chance to visit Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium. The Planetarium has been a source of fascination and inspiration for both children and adults. A visit to the Planetarium was a mesmerizing experience, as it opened up the cosmos before everyone’s eyes. Scholars also had a chance to take up walk-in quiz which was based on recent innovation.

Main attraction at the planetarium is its immersive sky theatre. The show began with a dazzling display of stars, planets, and constellations. The narration was informative and captivating, explaining the birth of stars, the formation of galaxies, and the mysteries of black holes. The planetarium’s show did an excellent job making them accessible to visitors of all ages.

There were so many interactive exhibits and educational displays scattered throughout the planetarium. From models of the solar system to hands-on experiments, every model had a scientific reason behind it’s working. The science park was filled with many exciting experiments some of them like echo tube which works like telephone, whispering dish, how motor pumps work, Einstein illusionary image and many more. One of the volunteers of Pragati named Hema explained many experiments that made it even more interesting.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is not just a place for entertainment; it is also a centre for education and outreach. The visit to Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium was an unforgettable experience that left the scholars with a profound appreciation for the universe they inhabit. The planetarium’s immersive shows, interactive exhibits, and commitment to education make it a valuable asset. It serves as a reminder of the endless wonders that exist beyond our planet. We left the planetarium with a sense of wonder and a desire to continue exploring the mysteries of the universe.

Overall, an ecstatic day with lots of learnings, fun and mentors interactions with their scholars.
