2024 – Scholar Selections

Pragati remains dedicated for helping students who have great potential but face financial
challenges. In proving this, the 2024 Scholars’ Selection was conducted on Sunday, July 7,
2024 by the team. Invitations were sent to high school students from various schools in
Bangalore, inviting them to take part in the selection process to become Pragati scholars.
Around 100 students participated in the selection process, which began with a written test.
The test included carefully designed questions related to their previous academics and
general knowledge to assess the students’ academic knowledge and general awareness.
Students who passed the written test were invited for interviews, which included their
parents or guardians. A panel of Pragati mentors and volunteers conducted the interviews to
better understand each student’s background and goals. After a thorough review, 27
students were selected to receive scholarships from Pragati, along with continuous
mentoring.
This success of our 2024 Scholar Selection event was due to the teamwork of Pragati’s
dedicated mentors and volunteers. They played a key role in every step, from sending out
invitations, preparing the test, and organizing the interviews.
Pragati is excited to welcome these 27 new students to its growing family, which now
supports many students with scholarships for the academic year 2024-25.
